This training is designed to provide Tribes, U.S. Territories and Insular Areas with training in the management of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funds through assistance awards. It will also cover the Office of Small Business Programs' (OSBP) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) rule.

Upon completion of the training, the participants will have a valuable comprehensive manual for future reference in addition to a full understanding of:

- The assistance agreement award

- Which regulations apply to an assistance agreement award

- How to financially manage an assistance agreement award

- The roles and responsibilities of both EPA and the Tribal Nation

- Complete accounting policies and procedures of the assistance agreement award
